On May 13 and 14, ISEP Clínic Donostia will present the course Sensory Integration. Theoretical foundations and practical applications led by Isabelle Beaudry, occupational therapist and founding partner of the Spanish Association of Sensory Integration and the European Sensory Integration Coalition.
Sensory integration theory is a specific response to multiple and diverse childhood problems related to learning, motor discoordination, and behavior, such as hyperactivity or poor school integration.
It is a specialty of Occupational Therapy applied with notable results for decades in health and rehabilitation centers in countries such as Australia, Canada, or the USA to treat these childhood problems.
The 12-hour course is aimed at professionals related to childhood (teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, pedagogues…) as well as parents or family members who want to know the keys to identify the manifestations of a possible sensory integration problem in their children.
