The International Test Commission (ITC) has published a new guide regarding the use of tests and other psychological measurement instruments for research purposes. This international association promotes effective guidelines in the assessment of individuals and in the development of psychological measurement instruments such as tests, among other psychodiagnostic tools.
The guide establishes a series of guidelines to follow in order to comply with both legal and ethical principles and the established good practice standards related to the use of tests in research. The document is structured into 7 sections:
1. Permission to use tests in research
2. Permission to reproduce
3. Modification of the test or its components
4. Ethical use of tests
5. Documentation
6. Conflict of interest
7. Dissemination of research findings in professional practice.
