On International Happiness Day, it’s important to highlight the healing power of laughter, positive thoughts, and optimism.
Òscar Asorey, director of ISEP Clínic Reus y Tarragona and co-director of ISEP’s Master in Clinical and Health Psychology, discusses the influence of positive emotions on health in this interview.
Asorey explains that there are scientific investigations directly relating positive emotions to health and longevity. Furthermore, happiness increases intellectual, creative, and problem-solving abilities: “When a person experiences a pleasant emotion, constructive thoughts emerge that improve productivity and the resolution of daily life problems”.
