Saraín focuses her dissertation on the study of one of the fields where music therapy is achieving the greatest success: the treatment of older adults. According to the author herself, “at this stage of life, there is an increase in interiority, people tend to withdraw into themselves, lose interest in their surroundings, and there is also a decrease in self-esteem. Therefore, music will help them feel better and consequently improve their health and emotional state.”
